It seems that the drop rate is way to low for it. For tailors its even more terrible since we need so much and Northern Cloth Scavenging doesn't effect it.
Maeel
Actually, I think it does affect it. I've noticed alot after a group member loots a mob I can get cloth on it after. I know for a fact they aren't leaving cloth on the mobs.

I've noticed this too. It just isn't happening anywhere near enough as it did for Frostweave.

The tooltip will probably get updated come the first patch.

As far as drop rate, yeah I've noticed it's insanely low. I've also noticed that they seem to have hotifxed Enchanting's problem of never getting Hypnotic Dust, so it's likely that the Embercloth drop rate is on their 'to-do' list for hotfixing.

If you're going to actively farm cloth, get some potions of treasure finding. They give you a chance to get a tiny treasure chest frequently. Inside the chest is money, sometimes cloth, and sometimes 1 volatile.

Simple
Easy place to farm ember cloth is the deepholm quest where they send you underground and pop you into a cave. That area has a bunch of mobs that are fighting each other and they seem to drop a lot of cloth for me.

The rarity of ember cloth leads to me selling it on the AH instead of using it to level up. I did some quick calculation, and it's really not worth ~200g to skill up one point when I can skill up much easier/cheaper later on.
Hatefist
I wouldn't mind the drop rate so much if I could at least make decent gear with 450 tailoring. As it is, by the time you have tailoring high enough to make anything you already have a better item from a quest reward.
Jacara
Anyone have a decent place to farm it?

It so pricy right now,.

First aid isnt even a thought on my toons.

When the other craft mats are cheaper then the cloth there is problem. (and I'm not talking about stack of cloth I'm talking per cloth...)

Please kick up the drop rate on this a notch!!
Megathron
I can afford one skill-up per day considering how retardedly expensive and rare this cloth is.

Yeah its still 10g or more per 1 cloth on Muradin
Losk
It's not rare at all, I have gotten plenty from leveling to 85. If you want to farm it, go to The Restless Front, Tol Barad Peninsula. There are a bunch of mobs there that die in 2 hits and have a decent drop rate.

I've been farming all my cloth here, getting close to maxed tailoring and haven't bought a single piece of cloth yet.
Zolala
I'm not even a quarter of the way threw 81 and I'm already worried that my bags (all frostweave) will fill up with new cloth before I can get back to a town to train.

And please dont say I'm lucky. I'm probably the most unlucky person you'll meet.
Sarynn
did you play in wrath? omg I got so little cloth back then raising tailoring was just painful :(

Cloth still seems a bit slow to get but not quite as bad. Run instances and you get a pretty good amount. It seems you can loot cloth off other people's kills even. So you end up with a good amount.
Kanhn
I'm not sure how much tailors need on average per day, but I can usually get at least a stack from doing my dailies everyday.

I'd imagine if you farmed a humanoid camp you could get much much more.
