So I was just doing dungeons as heals and I zip into Underbog with a tank who was suffering from some severe indigestion and in dire need of a dose of pepto-bismol.

I say it like that because some extreme bodily emergency such as that is the only reason he could have been in such a hurry to finish the instance.

He won't let anybody skin mobs, he won't let anybody pick up quest items, and he didn't even want to wait the 5 seconds necessary at the beginning of the instance for me to pick up the quests, he just dashed in and started pulling everything in sight.

I asked him why he was in such a hurry...his reply:

"Got places to be man."

"Sure, but isn't WoW more of a leisure time activity? Why would you have queued for an instance if you're in such a hurry?"

"I just want to level as soon as possible."

"You have any idea how much XP you get for doing these dungeon quests? And everybody needs to level up their professions."

"You're supposed to bot your profs at 85"

"No you're not..."

He goes running up the ramp and pulls a trash pack and a boss at the same time, loses his aggro and I went down almost instantly. He rezzed me and we went back to it, with him running wild and making these huge pulls while he's miles ahead of me and out of range. He wont' even slow down to get into my LOS or even in range of my heals.

I decided to leave, I said "I think a different healer would better suit your style. I'm out." Waited for the pack to be over, topped him off, and bounced.

Why is this such a common occurrence now? Do people not play to enjoy the game anymore? I have 3 level 85 toons and I enjoyed the ride and the scenery on all of them. I guess I never really noticed it before but now that I'm heals, I don't have time to loot anything, to do any kind of quest related stuff, to skin things in order to level my professions...

Tanks, please, slow down. The combined 2 minutes you save by thundering through an instance and not letting anybody loot mobs or do professions or mine nodes or anything like that aren't going to ruin your life. If you can't spare 2 minutes so that others in your group can do things they need to do in order to get the things they want to do done, then maybe you shouldn't be playing an MMO.

You say that sarcastically, but...

Either that or he'll vote to kick me and i'll be out on my tookus having to wait another 10 minutes for the dungeon finder cooldown to be over.

Good god... I wish people in this game would make up their mind.

Not but a few hours a go was a massive thread about tanks needing to speed up. Now a thread about tanks needing to slow down.

You wonder why there is a shortage? haha...

even with blink, sometimes i have trouble keeping up with tanks now a'days. 9_9

they are off and running the second everyone zones in, pulling half the instance. see, that is why i spec dps FOR instances, tank/disc outside of them. ^.^
