Why did Rogues get a legendary and not Shams?

It makes little to no sense.

This entire expansion has been about Elementals, the Cataclysm, and very "Shamanistic" things

Then you guys give Rogues a legendary? They already have Glaives.

It somewhat feels like Blizzard doesn't like Shamans at all. Rogues seem to be really favored when it comes to just about everything.

This whole expansion was a complete middle finger to shamans.

Were a very unique class, and we get nothing except nerfs and no hugs or kisses.

Elemental's the only spec that could make good use it, and given that they're really expected to use 1h and shield, they were probably pretty low on most guilds' priority lists for getting the staff, long after clothies and druids.

This guy has to be enhancement, cause I don't think he knows about the staff...You know the staff that practically every ele sham was parsing with. Yep that one.

Rogues have had 2 legendarys so far this game. Shaman have had 3. That sounds pretty even. Albeit, that Ragnaros' Hammer was not Shaman only, but shaman did use it. And guilds did help their enhancement shamans farm for it. And Val'anyr was a shaman legendary. Again not shaman only but the class could still use it.

Priests, paladins, druids and shamans could use that.

And yes I know "Warriors and Rogues can use Glaives) But it was still one of the best items you could get for your class. If I recall their was a better mace during Ulduar.

ALSO The legendary staff only has use for Elemental. Let a lone most of the time a warlock or mage is going to get it before any Elemental Shaman.

Err... Shaman are in the best place they've been now since release. By far.

Frankly I think that Legendaries shouldn't even exist. They distort the balance of the game too much. And cause way too much whining, like the OP.

I don't think you knew what the proc on valanyr was if you are going to say that. Paladins, priests, and shamans were using that mace all the way to ICC. Until Heroic Trauma. That was the only mace better than that damn thing.

It's not the fact that I'm complaining. I just think its stupid that this entire expansion has been related to use, and we get nothing. It's exactly like the holidays. You get all prepared for it, and then what happens? Christmas.

It's like getting ready for christmas and then you start celebrating halloween (Bad scenario I know but you get it)

That's probably the most compelling argument in your post. It's true, a shaman-themed legendary would have made a lot of thematic sense in this expac.

Agreed. If I went through each class and tried to figure out which one should get a class-specific legendary, it almost definitely would've been Shaman.

Druids probably would've been my second choice given all they're doing in Hyjal and Firelands.

There was a legendary available to shamans in this expansion, just like there was in the expansion before it.

The release of what, 4.0? Enhance Shamans were damn close to overpowered in Vanilla, running around with there broken WF procs one shotting people. Back then, Shaman were in a "good place".

It's not about who should or shouldn't get a Legendary. It's just if you're going to make an expansion related to "X" class, then why not create something "X" class oriented. Wether a quest, zone, item etc. etc.

Since Blizzard doesn't seem to have the time to do any of the other options, they simply get lazy and just make an item with an orange name which takes months to get.

So my question again, why rogues?
