Demonology split in two
Since we now have four talent trees for feral druids, I would like to propose to do the same with another specialization that feels just as divided over talents and direction over the expansions, Demonology.
I propose splitting it into Summoning and Demon Form specializations.
I noticed that with the outdated MoP talent calculator, demonology warlocks are going to spend a lot more time in Demon Form, and will be given a lot more useful meelee abilities. This spec would be a lot more fun if it was it's own specialization designed to keep you in meelee range and in demon form. No more clunky caster spells, no more specialized useless demon, you'd be your own demon. I suppose this tree could also be called Demon Hunter, it would make a lot of people happy if it worked that way, and the mastery working to boost demon form damage would just plain work.
I am not here to discuss whether Demon Form spec would be dps or tanking, that's for others to decide.
Summoning Spec is where you'd find the Felguard, Wild Imps, and other fun spells and new demons for utility. Summoning would be instant for this spec, and the end talent would be having two demons out permanently instead of one. We'd be free to have more pet synergy and all of our pets would do the same damage, and more than the damage of other warlocks.
I'm not a huge fan of Grimmoire of Supremacy. I believe that the pet skin upgrades to the Imp and Voidwalker should be saved for the promised pet customization in the future, and the unique pets like the Shivarra and Beholder not replace our current beloved pets. One should be given baseline for all warlocks, and put another one or two in the demonology spec or talent calculator as extra for some fun choices. I for one don't enjoy feeling like I've lost something when I choose a talent.
Therefore, please split demonology into two specs. It's felt like it was two ideas jammed into one from the start, and it would make the demon form players very happy, and those who wanted to be a summoner class very happy.

No. Druids will have four specs because they have always had (4) specs, with feral bear and kitty, moonkin and resto tree. One trank spec, one melee dps, a ranged dps and a heal spec. It's just being made official now. There's no reason for any other class to have four specs. Unless they somehow add one. Then there is the whole issue of balancing and gear.
Personally, I think Demo is looking fantastic in MoP. I really like that they're pushing for an "all demons, all the time" feeling with summoning them constantly (Wild Imps) while also being one (Meta).
I'm especially excited by the increased melee emphasis of Meta — that has always been one of the cool things about Demo, wanting to cast from close-up, and I'm very happy to see it embraced completely.
Running around with a Beholder or Shivarra or other cool demon following me is also something I can't wait to try. Sure, the Felpuppy is a beloved pet, but he'll still be around in the Nether — and just a talent reselection away.
So, for me, I'd prefer they keep the two aspects together and keep emphasizing both; being a demonically-corrupted nutcase who runs around summoning even more demons is a big selling point of Demo flavor-wise.
If it was "just Meta" or "just lots of demons" it wouldn't feel the same. This way, you feel kind of like a demon general leading the charge with your little mini-army.

Funny how the mechanics for both specializations (summoning/casting and meelee/demon form) are already there, and somehow demonology is the best at neither. We're meelee casters....
And demon form warlocks would not require different itemization. They do spell damage.
We're meelee casters....That's what makes Demo (and to a lesser degree Lock in general) cool, though — it's different, it's not quite like either a Caster or a Melee in its considerations.
Figuring out how to worm your way into melee on as many fights as possible, while figuring out how to not move around so much you defeat the whole point of doing it, is something more or less unique to Lock in my experience.
So far that's mostly a niche optimization, but if the devs are solidifying it into the core of Demo's design in MoP, I'm looking forward to it.
