anybody else feel a weird signal like i do due to blizzcon being cancelled for 2012?

Theres nothing to show this year. Waste of time and money. All that effort is going towards pandaria and d3.

This game is making more money than ever. As long as it's bringing in a ton of cash, it wont end. Even if they get sick of it making content for it, they'll push through to maintain the income. That's just how the business part of a franchise works. I always found it kind of weird that Blizzcon existed at all, to be honest.

Juggling three large titles is difficult. Limited employee time is limited. Hiring new employees to make up for it doesn't work due to limited profit margin available to pay said employees.
Blizzcon is a "gift" from Blizzard. Sure you pay to go but in essence the profit earned is not marginal to the profit gained.
Now explain to me this. How does the cancellation of Blizzcon have anything to do with World of Warcraft ceasing to exist? If it were WoWcon I could make the correlation but as of now I'm stumped.

No Blizzcon would more accurately mean no more Blizzard since they do things other than WoW at Blizzcon. You are just a negative nancy when it comes to WoW.

I would LOVE to miss my first Blizzcon in 6 years because they cancelled it and instead, would rather everyone go to some shin-dig in Asia and watch a bunch of freakishly good videogamers beat other freakishly good gamers for money that i don't have after buying a plane ticket to said asian city :D! I don't see a problem, seems like a great idea!
