Gear Score is Out of Control

I tried to get in a TOC 25 on this toon.

I explain this is my alt hunter with 5025 Gear Score, I've done TOGC and TOC on my main hunter, and I have mad skills in the hunter class.

The dude is like "sorry man your Gear Score sucks." We don't want to carry anyone.

I'm like "I bet I'm going to out DPS most people in your raid."

The guy doesn't respond.

Seriously.

How about, before you post another thread that noone cares about, you look around on page 1, and post in one of the other 4 gearscore threads?

Stop now. Stop this thread immediately. I humbly request that you delete it before you continue an argument that is still ongoing in other threads.

Do you honestly not see any of the other gearscore posts? This is ridiculous.

here are the answers you're going to get:

You're not entitled to enter anyone's raid.
Start your own raid.
There should be skillscore instead of gearscore.
Gearscore sucks.
Maybe you just suck.
Gearscore is awesome.
Gearscore should be taken out of the game.
Gearscore is Armory with a number on it.
Idiots in purples are more likely to succeed better than idiots in blues.
People in blues can out DPS idiots in purples.

Yes, actually you did.

People are choosing gear to up this magical 4 digit number that gets them into raids, rather than choosing gear that ups their raid performance, and NO they absolutely are not the same.

The argument usually presented is that "Only people with bad gear dislike gear score"

Meanwhile I'm like "Ummm, 6.1k on my main, 5.8k on this alt, 5.4k on 2 more alts and 5k on a 5th alt, no, my gear doesn't really suck."

However, I do hate gear score.

By the way, my main would be higher, but heroic conqueror's marks don't actually exist.

It's gotten really bad, that it is now affecting me real life.

I was hitchhiking, and a car pulled up. But instead of picking me up they mocked me, and said my gear wasn't leet enough for me to ride with them.

Gear Score is awesome.

I don't need to know fights or how to play.

I just tell them I have a 5.7k and I get into any raid I want.

lol Better people than me with under 5.7k get passed over.
